Day 3 in Lausanne.
In the morning, we spent a couple of hours in the hotel to choose our research paper topic.
Then in the afternoon, we went hiking. I picked up a stick at the bottom of the mountain. And it actually helped me a lot throughout hiking. The hiking course was a lot steeper than I thought, and some part of the course was muddy. Since I didn't do any exercise for the last month, the hiking course was pretty hard for me. Fortunately, it was sunny outside and I was able to see the fantastic view of Lausanne at the top. So I would say it was worth walking for about an hour.
Here are the pictures of the view.
After hiking, we visited the Queen Studio Experience which is the original site of the recording studio. It was strange that the museum was inside of a casino place. In the museum, There were some of the costumes that the Queen wore at the concert as well as handwritten lyrics. Also, there was a mini studio that looked exactly like a studio that the Queen recorded some of their songs. I don't know much about them, so it was not very exciting for me, but it would be a wonderful place to visit if you are a fan of them.
For dinner, we went to an authentic Swiss food restaurant. We ordered cheese fondue and some other authentic Swiss/French foods. It was difficult to understand the menu because it was all written in French, and I don't know a single word in French. The cheese fondue was fantastic. But beef tongue with french sauce was even better than the cheese fondue. I personally like beef tongue as it is a very popular food in Japan. ( In Japan, I usually eat it in Japanese BBQ style) It was my time eating it with french sauce, and it was a lot better than I expected. That was by far the best dinner on this trip, and I really enjoyed it.
